Technically, yes, but you will need a special etching tool sold through a 3rd party. Keep in mind these tools do not do ‘deep engraving’ and may work only on certain metals. One such tool is the Etching Tool by Chomas Creations. This tool fits into the machine like the other tools would. It can etch/engrave materials such as acrylic, plastic, copper, bronze, silver, aluminum, metal clay, leather, and some papers.
