About Me

I’m Diane and I have been an avid crafter for a very long time. It all dates back to a love of Jazzy-Jewelry and making gaudy homemade earrings. From there my crafting journey evolved.

I found a love for sewing in high school with a fabulous teacher who taught me to design my own clothes and was even in several design competitions. I started a not so successful jewelry making business on Etsy.

But I was introduced to the world of die cutting well before all that and years before electronic die cutting machines like the Cricut and Cameo were even a thing. Paper scrapbooking was the start of my die cutting journey with basic shapes and images you could buy at your local scrapbook store or even use the machine yourself!

Die cutting was always just a curiosity for me until my mom bought her first Silhouette Cameo. From there I was sold. I thought these machines were the coolest things ever! But they just seemed so complicated to figure out. Between cutting depths for different materials and linking cartridges, I spent a lot of time doing research and decided to start my own site to help me keep track of everything I learned as well as put all the information in an easy to find and helpful place for people learning about their machines.

Now, I’m a work at home mom of two littles, a blogger and a constant crafting addict though carving out time for crafting can be tough with toddlers. I hope you enjoy what I’ve built at Personal Die Cutting!

I’m always looking to hear your feedback and engage with other crafters. Feel free to email me diane@personaldiecutting.com
